DUE TO A HIGH VOLUME OF REQUESTS, CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES ARE APPROXIMATELY 5-7 DAYS. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL FREQUENTLY IF YOU HAVE SUBMITTED A REQUEST (INCLUDING YOUR SPAM FOLDER).

COMMUNICATION IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL. IF WE SEND YOU AN EMAIL AND YOU DO NOT RESPOND, OR IF YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS COMES BACK AS “UNDELIVERABLE” YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ASSISTANCE. IF WE HAVE SENT YOU ASSISTANCE YOU MUST ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF YOUR PACKAGE. IF WE SEND YOU AN EMAIL WITH SHIPPING INFORMATION ABOUT ASSISTANCE SENT AND YOU DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR SHIPMENT, YOU MUST NOTIFY US WITHIN 3 DAYS OF THE ANTICIPATED DELIVERY DATE. FAILURE TO ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT WILL RESULT IN FUTURE REQUESTS BEING DENIED

While we understand and appreciate the great need that exists for food and supplies, before you make your request, we would like to remind you of a few things: We are a small, volunteer-run organization and we rely solely on donations from regular people just like you in order to fulfill requests for food, medication, and limited assistance with veterinary care to keep healthy, happy pets in their homes.

Please note that we do not have a warehouse, and we do not ship any merchandise directly; we order all items in any given request from a third party vendor. We do not have any access to any of the merchandise before you receive it. We are a small charity trying to do our best to help regular people care for and feed the family pets that they hold dear. A recent dramatic increase in requests for help has made it necessary for us to economize as much as possible. Unfortunately, this means we can not provide premium pet foods, specific brands of cat litter, or any item deemed non-essential. We strive to provide the most nutritious pet foods possible, and will take into account special dietary needs such as allergies to certain ingredients, soft food requirements due to dental or other medical issues whenever possible. We do not provide puppy pads with the exception of medical necessity. During the months that flea and tick products are most needed, we try to fulfill requests for low cost flea and tick collars. This is entirely dependent on fluctuating costs by the vendors and availability.

We do not provide heartworm prevention or prescription flea/tick/heartworm medications.

Please note that requests for premium food, flea and tick products such as household treatments, powders or sprays, and other items which are deemed non-essential items (including bedding, toys, treats, and clothing) will not be fulfilled.

As we rely on small donations from individuals, we are unable to fulfill more than one request per household within a 30 day period.

Requests for necessities for pet animals are our top priority. Requests for food and supplies for feral or community cat colonies are fulfilled as possible, but are non-priority requests.

Please note: Assistance is limited to THREE times per calendar year. Exceptions to this rule are at the discretion of Rex The TV Terrier Inc. BEFORE REQUESTING ASSISTANCE THROUGH OUR CHARITY, PLEASE CHECK IF THERE ARE LOCAL RESOURCES IN YOUR AREA THAT CAN ASSIST YOU, SUCH AS PET FOOD PANTRIES. IF THERE IS A PET FOOD PANTRY IN YOUR AREA, WE WILL DIRECT YOU TO THEM FOR HELP FIRST. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

ATTENTION SENIORS: If you are receiving Meals On Wheels, or qualify for Meals On Wheels, they are now providing pet food in addition to the food you are already receiving. Please call Meals On Wheels for pet food assistance!

Please do not share our request page on “Buy Nothing ” or “Freecycle ” Facebook pages. This causes a huge amount of requests, oftentimes by people who believe we are a free giveaway site.

We are a charity that relies on donations from everyday, hard working people and are not here to give away food, supplies or anything else to people who can afford to provide them for themselves.

If you are requesting assistance for a puppy or kitten, details of how the puppy or kitten came to be part of your household is REQUIRED.

Responsible pet ownership is a core belief of Rex The TV Terrier, Inc. IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A PUPPY, YOU SHOULD NOT BE ASKING US FOR PUPPY FOOD!
